Beef lasagne Recipe

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan)/200°C/Gas Mark 6.
  2. For the meat sauce, spray a large non-stick frying pan with low-calorie cooking spray and place over a medium-high heat. Add the minced beef and fry for 5-6 minutes until browned.
  3. Add the onion and garlic to the pan and cook for a further 2-3 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in the chopped tomatoes, passata, tomato puree, oregano and basil. Season with salt and black pepper, then reduce the heat to low and leave to simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, make the white sauce by mixing together the yogurt, grated cheddar cheese and dried parsley. Season with salt and black pepper.
  6. To assemble the lasagne, spoon a third of the meat sauce into the bottom of a large ovenproof dish. Top with three sheets of lasagne, then spoon over a third of the white sauce.
  7. Repeat the layers twice more, finishing with a layer of white sauce. Sprinkle over the grated cheddar cheese.
  8. Bake the lasagne in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes until the top is golden brown and the pasta is cooked through.
  9. Allow the lasagne to stand for 5 minutes before serving.
  10. When the lasagne is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. This dish is perfect for serving at family gatherings or for a cozy dinner at home. The combination of pasta, beef, sauce, and cheese makes for a delicious and satisfying meal that everyone is sure to enjoy!
